Fun rides provide a fantastic opportunity for riders of all ages and abilities to get their horses and ponies out into open countryside and let off a bit of steam!

Each year we organise a handful of rides, usually at Peover Hall near Knutsford, and Manley, near to Kelsall Hill. The rides are very informal in nature, along a marked route, and include a large variety of jumps, all of which are optional. You simply turn up, pay, and set off at your own pace.

Our fun rides provide an ideal opportunity to exercise your horse, no matter whether you are a happy hacker who likes to potter along, or a hunting "thruster" looking for the next challenge!

You can expect to ride across farmland and country estates; enjoy woodland trails and occasional water features. You might ride across grassland, around ploughed fields and along bridle paths. Our jumps range from small man made rails to neatly trimmed hedges, with plenty in between. Importantly, ALL jumps are optional and many people prefer not to jump at all which is just fine!

Fun rides are normally advertised on Riding Diary and this website. First horses are usually at 10am. We book a refreshment van serving hot and cold food, toilet and a photographer. Stewards are always on hand to help.

Keep an eye out for our next fun ride and come along and give it a go!
